ZEN MEDITATION
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
In Zen Buddhism, sitting meditation or zazen is a meditative discipline practitioners perform to calm the body and the mind and experience insight into the nature of existence. While the term originally referred to a sitting practice, it is now commonly used to refer to practices in any posture, such as walking.

BENEFITS FROM ZEN MEDITATION
Today people of all kind turn to meditation seeking some benefit. There is nothing wrong in wanting to improve oneself. Joy, happiness, creativity, appreciation, and a sense of wonder are important part of life. Meditation is a way to release anxiety, tension, and pressure from today society. Peace of mind, better thinking, better relationship at home and work, improved understanding of our purpose and place in this society.

The point of "ZAZEN" or Zen meditation is to open our eyes to our "true nature", to enable us to live a truly awakened life. Simply to get in touch with our pure " being ness"

We are not sitting to achieve some stage, nor are we trying to get in trance or experience psychic phenomena. WE are just sitting for the sake of sitting, and letting go of everything else, experiencing our life in the present moment, in each breath, to the fullest.

Martial Artist can benefit from practicing "zazen" to incorporate the "living in the moment" on each move they practice during class. Being "here" allows a Martial Artist to paid attention to everything around them and to determine the right move to execute at the right time.
